Christmas in California

Me and Ty had such a good Christmas this year. We traveled through five states which I thought would be miserable because we had to stop every hour and a half for me to walk (or else my doctor said I would get blood clots) but it actually went by really fast and it was just fun being with my fam. We started the break Thursday night by traveling to Boise for Juliana and Nate's wedding which was wonderful. That Sunday the snow was extra bad and we considered not driving to California but my brothers and dad were already in Vegas and we definitely didn't want to be separated at Christmas. So, we braved the bad roads down to Utah that night. Monday morning we got up early and drove to Vegas.
We spent Monday night in Vegas. Here is the whole fam in the flower room at the Bellagio.

We also went to a really cool magic show that night. This is my mom, me and Kirst waiting for the show to start.

The next morning we got up and went to the most delicious ever breakfast buffet at the Bellagio and headed to San Diego for the Poinsetta Bowl!

These were our seats in the front row! It was an awesome game even though we did end up losing by one point:( As we were walking out of the stadium we saw these guys fighting. The fight got really bad and one guy ended up getting kicked in the face and was passed out on the ground. I was really scared, I thought he was dead. Luckily he was alive but an ambulance had to come get him and we all had to stay and give witnesses to the police about what happened. After all that craziness happened we drove to our hotel in Anaheim so we could go to Disneyland the next day!

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Disneyland. It was so much fun even though I did have to sit off all the really fun rides. I was able to ride the awesome new Toy Story ride (that is why we have on 3D glasses)Me and Ty with Minnie Mouse
While everyone else went on rides me and my parents went to the Aladdin show.

Me and Ty waiting in line for Space Mountain (don't worry, I didn't ride it)

The day after Christmas we drove all the way to Provo and were trying to make it to Boise because my baby shower was Saturday morning but the freeway was closed so we were stuck in Utah. We had to call everyone to change my shower to Tuesday. I'm so sad because I didn't take any pictures at the shower. The food was amazing of coarse (my mom did it). I finally got a stroller which I was pushing around the house because I was so excited and Saylor got tons of adorable clothes that I can't wait to put on her!

Juliana and Nate's Wedding

Jules and Nate got married on December 20th in the Boise Temple.  It was such a good sealing and it was great to be in the temple with so many friends.  Jules and Nate looked so happy, I am so excited for them!  Getting ready for the reception was kind of stressful and crazy but things came together just in time and everything was beautiful!
(Sorry, the pics are kind of out of order.)

Kirstie caught the bouquet!
Here is Kirst diving in front of the other girls to grab it!

All the girls!
Nate was getting jealous of all the pictures we wanted to take with Jules so me and Sass got one with him.
Jules looked gorgeous!

Making Stockings

Me and Ty thought it would be fun to make our own stockings this year so we invited Matt and Sarah over, turned on the Christmas music, drank hot chocolate and made stockings.  It was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!
I decided to make a stocking for the baby, I'm not quite done but this is what it looks like so far.
Here's mine, I'm super proud of it!

Ty and I did his together and I think we did pretty good!  Ty wanted to put cross bones on it to make it look tough but I told him that wasn't Christmasy enough.  So instead he used candy canes and a snow man head, pretty creative Ty!

Polar Bear Plunge

I meant to write about this a really long time ago but just haven't done it.  So Ty is always coming home from school with things he has won from all these little contests they have at UVU.  He is always super excited to show me all his free stuff.  He has won shirts, sleeping bags, backpacks, shovels, camping chairs, water bottles, the list goes on and on.  Ty honestly is always so proud of the things he wins.  So a few weeks ago Ty was at school and he saw a big swimming pool set up.  He immediately ran over to see what was going on and they were doing the polar bear plunge.  They had filled the pool with freezing water and ice and put 100 pennies on the bottom.  To win the contest you had to get into the pool and try to collect as many pennies as you could off the bottom of the pool.  So Ty being the crazy that he is strips down to just his shorts (of coarse he had shorts on) in the middle of December and jumps in this freezing pool of ice.  Ty said the water was so cold he was having a hard time grabbing the pennies with his hand because they were shaking so bad.  A few of the people gave up after going under the water once because they couldn't take the cold.  Ty ended up with 23 pennies.  There were 12 people total in the pool and the next closest person had 13 pennies.  Ty was the winner!  Now here is the greatest part...he won an ipod touch!!!  Ty had been saving up his plasma money for months so he could buy one and he got one for free!  Ty was the happiest guy ever and he loves his ipod touch more than anything.

Thanksgiving

It was so wonderful to just be home and relax during Thanksgiving Break! On my first day home I got to go to an assembly at Centennial (so wierd!) to watch Kirstie dance. She was amazing as usual.

Around the holidays my family always does puzzles. This year every time you got a puzzle piece you got to eat one M&M out of the bowl.

Kirst and Me

Me, Dad and Kirst

Kirst, my mom and Me. (Check out that belly!) My family couldn't believe how big I have gotten! It is so fun to be having the first grandchild in my family because everyone is so excited. Everytime I would feel the baby kick everyone would run over and put their hand on my stomach. Zach couldn't stop kissing my belly.

Here we are about to eat Thanksgiving dinner. Oh it was so delicious, my mom is the best cook in the world!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving Sarah and I threw Juliana's bridal shower. Yah Jules, less than two weeks and she'll be married!

Our Fun Weekend in Rexburg

We decided to have a continuation of our Halloween celebrations up in Rexburg this weekend. Friday night we drove up to a cabin in Island Park to stay the night. On our way as we were driving very late at night we noticed some kind of animal running on the side of the road very close to our car. When we figured out that it was a big black bear I started to scream hysterically! Everyone wanted to turn back to get a better look at the bear and I just thought we were all going to die. Despite my screaming Ty turned back and we saw the bear cross the street and head back to the woods. Ty was yelling at me to get the camera but I really was just too terrified to move at this point. I really never knew I was so scared of bears until I was so close to one I could have reached out my window and touched it!
At the cabin we made haunted gingerbread houses. This was me and Ty's house with the corn maze made of candy corn, Ty was very proud.
Matt and Sarah made up a spooky story to go with their haunted house. This is Matt telling the story.

Saturday morning Me, Ty and Beau went to watch Zach's intramural soccer game. Zach did awesome and his team won!

Me, Ty, Matt and Sass were also able to fit in a quick trip to Rexburg temple. This was my first time seeing the temple and it is gorgeous!

On Saturday night we had another Halloween party at Michelle's house. It was so fun to see her new baby and her house out in Mud Lake. She is such an amazing mom and she wowed us all with a delicious dinner. I hope someday I can be as great and amazing as she is!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween I dressed as a cat and Ty was a lumberjack.
Ty and Tinkerbell (my cousin Daniella). This is the little girl that finally got Ty to admit that he would love to have a little girl (This party was the night before our ultrasound).

Sarah and Matt the Koreans

My class on Halloween, they all looked so cute!

It's a GIRL!!!

Ty and I went to my ultrasound last Wednesday and found out we are having a girl!!! We were both totally shocked because we were so certain we were having a boy. We've been calling our baby Briggs all this time. I was very pleasantly surprised though because I really did want a girl more than anything. I just never thought I could get something that I wanted that bad but I guess I am just really blessed and lucky! Ty was a tad bit dissapointed at first but now he is just as excited as I am to have a baby girl and he'll be the cutest dad ever. We are also just happy that the baby is healthy and doing well. It was so amazing to see her moving around inside of me and to see how much she looks like a little person!

Me, Ty and Sass made tons of pink cupcakes and we took them around to all our family to tell them the good news! Me and Ty both dressed in pink!

My Belly!

As you can see from the prior pictures, when I first got to Boise I was just barely starting to show. By the end of my trip somehow my belly like doubled in size! I'm suddenly huge!! This picture was taken on Sunday and I'm growing by the day. My ultrasound is next week and we get to find out if it is a boy or a girl, I am so stinking excited! I just can't wait to start buying clothes and other cute baby stuff. We really really think it is a boy but we will see.

Bike ride on the greenbelt

While we were in Boise I got to do one of my most favorite things ever, ride bikes on the greenbelt! The weather was perfect and the colors of the changing leaves were gorgeous!

I was so excited, my mom came too!

We even got to ride down to Blue Sky Bagels for lunch, it was so delicious.

Oh how I love the greenbelt!

Kirstie's Sweet 16

For Kirstie's 16th Birthday she and all her friends got picked up in a limo and went to dinner downtown. Look out boys, now she can date!

Pretty sure she's the cutest 16 year old ever!
Happy 16th Birthday Kirstie!

Jules is engaged!

I got a call from Jules Friday night with the news that she is engaged and will be getting married December 20th! Luckily we were both in Boise so me and Ty jumped in the car and drove to her house to congratulate her and Nate. We are so excited for them! We've hung out with Nate a few times now and we definitely approve! He will make a great addition to the friends.
