Say's 1st Soccer Game

Saylor missed the age deadline for spring soccer by 2 weeks so she was SO excited she was finally old enough for fall soccer!  She would wake up and ask me every day if today was her soccer game.  The night before her first game we went and bought her shin guards, new shoes and new soccer shorts.  She insisted on wearing them to bed!

Say is on the same team as her good friend Eden.
Playing goalie!  I posted a video on instagram that showed much better how great of a dancer Saylor is while playing goalie at the same time haha! This girl was definitely meant to be a dancer but it's been fun for her to try soccer out too.
Saylor is definitely very enthusiastic!
Lisa was so cute and came with Max to Saylor's first soccer game to cheer her on.  Saylor was SO excited to see Max!  During time outs she would run to the sidelines and give Max hugs!  Max loved watching the game and clapped the whole time, it was the cutest thing!
Our adorable little soccer player!
Oakley and West wish they could play too.  Here they are taking turns brushing each other's teeth haha.
4 year olds playing soccer is so hilarious!  Saylor mostly stays on the outside of the pack and every once in a while we have to remind her there is a game going on haha!

Practicing with dad on the sidelines
Saylor's favorite part of the game....the snacks at the end of coarse!
And I had to throw in these cute pictures of date night last weekend...I love love love all these people soooo much!  Seriously some of my most favorite people ever.  I couldn't survive this whole med school journey with out them.
We had such a fun night playing bocci ball and going out to dinner at the lake.  Ashley, the one on the far left just gave birth to a beautiful, 11 pound baby boy last night! (Naturally, I might add!) She's pretty much my hero.
It's been a crazy hard week with Ty gone every second studying!  He took a test this morning and then ran off to go put on a golf tournament.  But as soon as he gets home in a couple hours, it's officially FALL BREAK!!!  I get him all to myself for a full week!  The girls and I are SO EXCITED for Daddy time!

Party Time!

With Ty studying and gone all the time, there can be a lot of long, lonely days.  Planning parties is something I love and a great way to pass the time! Plus, with no family around, I love to spend time with friends as much as possible!

Lisa, Nicole, and I planned a baby shower for our dear friend Ashley who is about to pop any day with a new little boy.  Ashley is so sweet and she loves to read! So we had a book themed shower for her.

I love an excuse to make Magleby's chocolate cake!
Mini Books
ABC cookies

Nicole planned some really awesome games for the shower.  The binky spitting contest was a hit.

The very next day was Max's B-day party!  Lisa let me help her plan his party and it was so much fun!  Maxy Boy is one of my very favorite little boys!  I've known him his entire life and it's been so fun to watch him grow this last year!  Lisa threw a "Rookie of the Year" baseball party for him and it was all adorable!
So maybe it's a tiny bit weird that I'm posting about my best friends little boy's birthday party but Max really does feel like part of our family!  We all love him so much!  Saylor treats him like her little baby and always wants to take care of him.
We painted a big piece of sheetrock into a baseball for the backdrop!

Pictures of Max during his first year!

The cutest ever little birthday boy!
The guys helping blow up balloons
Cute little Max learned to walk just in time for his party!
Saylor and Eden
So many tasty treats!
You have to have cracker jacks at a baseball game...
And peanuts of coarse!

Oaks was a big fan of the baseball sugar cookies

I had so much fun making these baseball cake pops!
Lisa, Marshall and Ty trying to see who Max would pick...Marshall won since Max is so obsessed with balls but otherwise I think it might have been Ty.  Max is kind of obsessed with him too!

Digging into his cake!
All the kids were happy to help him out...
A few days later was block day!  That means the boys take a test in the morning and get the rest of the day off!  We decided to take a trip to the Nauvoo temple.  What a blessing it is to live near such a beautiful temple!  There is no where else on Earth where I can feel as much peace as in the temple.
It made me feel so happy and it was especially great to be there with good, dear friends!
I can't even express how much I love my own little family and how grateful I am to know that I get to be with them forever!
