Too Cute

Saylor looked so cute yesterday in her brown and pink outfit, she even had some brown and pink sneakers to match. She was on the floor kicking her legs and I realized her shoes squeak!
Saylor loves playing with her Daddy! (Had to get a shot from the back to show those adorable little ruffles on her bum!)
Ty is almost always the one to get Saylor all ready for bed, gets her diaper changed, puts her pajamas on and bundles her up to go down in her crib. Last night before bed I caught Ty singing to Saylor and it was just too cute!

Saylor's First Longboard Trip

Since the day I found out I was pregnant I have wanted a jogging stroller/bike trailer so when I had a baby I could still enjoy all of my favorite things like rollerblading, long boarding and riding bikes. We finally found a really good deal on one and this was our first time using it. Saylor is not quite big enough to sit up yet so we just strapped her whole car seat inside and took her down the canyon on our long boards! We had so much fun even though we did get some funny looks from people. We will definitely be getting our use out of our new toy, especially this summer!

Utah Summer Games

This past weekend we went down to Cedar City with Ty's family to be in the Utah Summer Games. Tyler's brother and sister are track stars so even though me and Ty don't really know what we are doing (more so me) we each were in the track meet too just for fun. Ty got a silver medal in the javelin! He also did the triple jump, high jump and ran the 400 meter hurdles. Way to go Ty! I got a bronze medal running the 800 meter (what was I thinking?) a silver medal in the long jump and a gold in the triple jump! Not bad for never being in a track meet in my life and just having a baby 3 months ago. (I also won't mention how many people were competing against me in each of those events...)
Saylor wins gold for being the cutest baby ever!

This is everyone that participated in the Summer Games. We had so much fun and ended up with 24 total medals between everyone.

We all got super sunburned over the weekend. Poor Saylor even got a little sun on her face!

Happy Father's Day!

This was an exciting year because Ty got to celebrate his very first Father's Day! My own dad has the tradition of making my mom an extra deluxe dinner on Mother's Day every year so I decided to make the tradition of making Ty an extra deluxe breakfast on Father's Day. I made him french toast with fresh strawberries and cream, bacon, eggs and orange juice. (May not sound too exciting, but I don't ever cook so it was kind of a big deal.)
The power went out right when I was in the middle of making Ty breakfast so that slowed things down a bit. I made Ty a frame and a card and got him a giant bag of M&M's.

Ty is such a good Daddy to our sweet little Saylor. I am so grateful to have a husband that I know will always be so involved in our children's lives. Ty also had to give a talk in sacrament meeting about how being a new Father helps him understand Heavenly Father's love for his children and he did an amazing job!
I also want to say Happy Father's Day to my own dad who is such a good dad and now such a cute Grandpa! Mydad is the funniest personI know and I am constantly laughing hysterically when I am around him. I love you Dad!

Saylor loves Boise!

So as soon as school was out, what was the first thing I wanted to do to start off my summer? Take a trip to Boise!! Ty was nice enough to let me go visit my family for two whole weeks! Me and Saylor had so much fun!
Saylor loves laying on Mommy's tummy

Saylor loved Zach so much! Zach can make her smile better than anyone else. He would babysit her everyday while I went to work out and they would just play the whole time. I never knew how cute Zach was with babies, he will be the greatest dad! She loved getting up on his shoulders.

Bowling for family night, Saylor pretty much slept right through it.

Saylor and her favorite Auntie, how great to have people wanting to hold Saylor all the time. It was a nice break for me. Saylor got tons of love, I think she is starting to get a little spoiled since she spent two weeks being held and snuggled all day long! Kirstie was the best to change diapers, get her dressed and make her smell so good by powdering and lotioning her up!

Do I have the cutest baby ever or what? My family loved putting her sunglasses on her.

This is Saylor playing with her new toy. She could push the button to make the lights and music turn on, it was so cute.

Over the weekend Ty came to pick us up and we had lots of fun at Eagle Fun Days going to the pancake breakfast and the parade. (Sadly I forgot my camera) Ty also got to show Saylor off to some of his favorite families from when he served in Eagle on his mission. He is a very proud Daddy and is very happy to have his girls back home!

Last Day of School

So I made it through that last month of school and all that time away from Saylor! It was hard being away from her but knowing it was Ty at home with her made things so much better. Ty is the greatest dad and he did such a good job taking care of her. I'm pretty sure he is missing all that Daddy-daughter time he had while I was gone.
My class was so excited to have me back, someone brought cupcakes on my first day to celebrate my return to school. I was blessed with such an amazing class this year and I couldn't have survived with out that! Being pregnant all year and having Saylor definitely made teaching a challenge but it was also so much fun to have my class be a part of it. I am going to miss teaching a lot, in so many ways I think it has prepared me to be a mom. For now I close the teaching chapter of my life and begin life as a full time mom!!

A Day at the Pool

The last week of school was full of fun activities including swimming day at Payson Pool. I bought Saylor's swim suit the day I found out I was pregnant so I've been dying for a chance to put it on her. The water was pretty cold but Saylor didn't seem to mind. The kids were all so excited to see her!

My amazing mother came down and spent another week at our house to help take care of Saylor. With all the craziness of me finishing school and Ty trying to get to class and study for the MCAT it was so nice to have her around. (I think she's enjoying this Grandma thing!) She drove Saylor all the way down to Payson so she could swim with me.
Saylor was stylin in her sunglasses and adorable little swim suit cover.
