Two Weeks!

Saylor had her two week appointment yesterday and she is doing great! She has gained almost a pound and is now 8.36 pounds which puts her inthe 47th percentile for weight. She has also grown 2 inches and is now 21.5 inches long and in the 86th percentile for heighth!! Saylor might be a tall one! She is getting better at sleeping more at night but I am still trying to get used to getting up 3 or 4 times a night to feed her. Saylor gets cuter everyday and Ty and I are just loving being parents!

The Best Mom (and Grandma) Ever!

I have the absolute best mom in the entire world! I could not have survived my last couple of weeks without her.

My mom was here with the rest of my family the weekend before I had Saylor. She came ready to stay in case I had her that week. Sunday came and I had felt absolutely nothing. No contractions or any signs that labor was coming soon. Since my due date was still over a week away I sent my mom home Sunday afternoon with my family because I told her I'd rather have her here when the baby was around and I was just going to be working all week. So my mom left and got home around midnight that night. And of coarse later that night my mom got a call from me about 3am. Not even giving it a second thought my mom got up and booked a flight so she could be here for me. She got there in perfect timing the next morning. I had already had my epiderral so I was relaxed and we just hung out and played cards until it was time to push.

My mom spent the next week doing everything possible for me. Not only did she cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for me while she was here, she made a week more of dinners to put in the freezer for when she was gone. She ran errands for me, did my dishes and laundry, went grocery shopping, changed diapers and took Saylor whenever I wasn't feeding her so I could get some rest. Even in the middle of the night when I had never been so exhausted in my life my mom would come to my rescue and rock Saylor to sleep and send me back to bed. My dad and sister were missing her so she had to go back home but she paid for our gas to come up to Boise so I could have another 5 days of help (and so Saylor could meet her Grandpa and Aunt Kirstie!) She is the cutest grandma ever, in the hospital the nurses couldn't believe she was my mom and not my big sister. It was so fun having her here, we are all missing her a lot! Thank you so much mom for making my first few weeks of being a mom so great! I LOVE YOU!!!

Baby Saylor's First Outings

Saylor got to meet her Uncles Beau and Zach this weekend! She still hasn't met her Grandpa or Aunt Kirstie :(
We finally got a picture of her when she is awake! Thanks for the adorable outfit Michelle!

Saylor's first walk! I was dying to get out of the house and get some fresh air so when the weather was nice on Saturday we took her on a walk. It was so fun to push my stroller around with a real baby in there! (I used to practice pushing the stroller around the house because I was so excited!)

Saylor slept through the whole walk.
I could just stare at her all day long, she makes the cutest faces when she's sleeping.

This was her first visit to the doctor so we dressed her up in her cutest ever little watermelon outfit. Everyone makes fun of the huge bows I put in her hair but I love them!

The doctor weighed her and she is now 7 pounds 11.5 ounces! She is a good little eater and is already growing fast!

Coming home from the hospital

Hey friends I have to apologize, I'm new to the blog thing, but i never told you how big baby Saylor was when she was born. Baby Saylor was 7 lbs 11 oz and was 19.5 inches long, and boy did she have a cone head. Anyway, if you have any questions let me know. Now girls don't go telling your husbands this, but I can see why all of you have blogs, its kind of fun. Anyway here are a few more pics of the babe, coming home fromt the hospital and sleeping her first night in her new crib.

It's me Tyler again, good newsBaby Saylor was born today, Monday 9 March 2009 at 12:46. When she was born, she was really pale, but after a few hours in the NICU, where they gave her some fluids to get her blood volume up, she became pink and was great. Now she is in her room with her momma and doing great. Thanks for all the love and prayers. We'll post some more once we get home and get settled a little.

Watermelon Belly!!

Hello everyone, this is Tyler, only for rare occasions will you hear from me, and lucky for you this is one of those times. As you all know and can see Chels is getting huge!!! Her belly looked too much like a watermelon to me, so I couldn't resist... and now I am sharing my masterpiece with you all.
Chels went to the doctor this tuesday, and everything is the same. She is still doing very well, but starting to get a little ancy to get this baby out into the world. She has been trying a few techniques to speed up the process. These activities include jumping on the tramp, jump roping, and crazy dancing at her grandma's 75th birthday. We'll let you all know when anything happens, until then stay tunned, I still have my paints...
