We were so spoiled this month! A week after my mom left, Tyler's mom came! After we picked her up at the airport we took Say to a McDonald's with a play place for lunch. (Our town is really that small, we don't even have a play place at our McDonald's)
We were only in Kirksville for a few days but we of coarse had to do some projects! I made these three canvases and Delynn also helped me turn some of my old diaper boxes into storage bins by covering them with canvas and cute fabric.
Then we headed to a town just outside of Chicago to watch Ty's sister Autumn in her track conference championships.
It was so fun being able to watch Autumn. She did the pentathalon so we got to watch run hurdles, throw the shot put, do the long jump, high jump and run the 800 meter. What a day! She did awesome! Saylor has been jumping off things around the house telling us she is high jumping like her Aunt Autumn.
Autumn ended up getting 2nd in her conference! It was so fun to see her and get to hang out for a bit!
The first hotel we stayed at had an awesome pool and water slide. Saylor had a blast!
The water slide was seriously fast! Saylor went down it over and over.
She was going so fast I couldn't get a good picture so I made her sit on the edge of the slide and pose.
These two are best buddies.
After the track meet we headed into downtown Chicago to check out the city!

We stayed in this crazy fancy hotel right in downtown Chicago, we actually felt really out of place. (Ty got the hotel on priceline and they bumped us up to a nicer hotel than we wanted) Ty and I walked in to check-in wearing jeans and sweatshirts and realized everyone was in suits, dresses and high heels. I was worried they were going to kick us out when we brought in our kids! To make us feel even more white trash we forgot to bring a knife so we used one of Ty's credit cards to spread peanut butter and jelly on our bread. Oh man, I had to document that moment.
We were able to find a free parking spot on the street so we pretty much walked everywhere so we wouldn't have to pay for parking. It was $7 for every 2 hours, soo expensive! It was pretty cold so we bundled the girls up in their strollers.
Grandma and Saylor walking in the park
Such an amazing skyline!
We went to the Chicago Zoo. Say freaked out when we set her next to this alligator!
We ate at one of the yummiest restaurants I've ever been to called The Yolk. It serves breakfast all day, we LOVE breakfast food! Ty's mom got Peach Cobbler Crepes.
Ty got a bunch of delicious breads like lemon poppy seed and banana nut bread made into french toast.
Saylor ordered off the kids menu and she got more food than anyone! She was happy to share.
I ordered cinnamon roll french toast. They took an actual cinnamon roll with frosting and all and cut it up and made it into french toast, it was sooo amazing!!!
Oakley had to eat baby food but she was happy just the same!
Posing by some random art in the city
We only had two days in Chicago and there is so much to do it was hard to pick! We ended up deciding to go to the aquarium. Here is Say next to a crab.
Saylor and Oakley playing in a tent
As we walked I couldn't stop staring at this amazing city!
In front of the Bean. Sadly Saylor was sleeping when we came here, I think she would have liked it.
We had such a fun trip and definitely want to go back when it's a little warmer! Thanks Delynn for hanging out with us, we had a blast with you!

How fun!!! Miss you guys. And Say just looks so big in these pics, even though I just saw her like a few months ago. Weird. Anyway, miss you guys, can't wait to see ya in a few weeks. And, I seriously LOVE those canvases. You must teach me you craftiness! LOVE it.
Sounds like an awesome trip!!!
