Then Came Ty's Family!

We were extra lucky this month with visitors because Ty's family also came to visit for a whole week! They overlapped a few days that Matt and Sarah were here which was awesome because they are pretty much a part of Ty's family anyways. Ty's fam drove all 16 1/2 hours straight! They are amazing, they left Utah on Saturday afternoon and got to our house the next morning around 10:30am! They must really love us:)
Sunday dinner at our house

Our favorite thing to do with Ty's family is to put Saylor up on the table and watch her dance. She definitely didn't dissapoint!

We took a walk to the park Sunday night and just about killed everybody with the humidity.
Monday morning we got up and drove to Carthage.
Say was loving having Grandma here! I don't know how she ever lived with out her!

Autumn and Tallon at Carthage Jail
Yes, we got to see Tallon for the 1st time in 2 years!! He is just the same and it was so fun for him to get to meet Saylor. He thought she was just as crazy as everyone says! I decided he is even cooler and more fun than I remembered him. It was so great to hang out with him all week.
Everyone in front of Carthage Jail, what an experience to see where Joseph died and spent the last part of his life.

After seeing Carthage we drove to Nauvoo to spend the rest of the day...
Autumn and Ty at Joseph Smith's house, isn't Autumn just gorgeous?

Cutest picture ever of Essie!
After doing some tours and seeing some sights, all the adults got to go do a session at the temple while Autumn, Alyssa and Taylor watched the babies, thanks guys! The temple was amazing and the inside is so beautiful. We ended up seeing a senior missionary couple from my stake in Boise at the temple. They were so incredibly generous and offered us a place to stay in Nauvoo that night just across the street from the temple. We were so excited to have an extra day there! When we got to the house they had also gone and bought us a ton of groceries to eat while we were there! Wow, what amazing people.

That night the BYU International Folk Dance team was performing and it was a great show! The weather did not cool down though so we were all super hot!

Saylor loved watching the dancing!

Alyssa, Autumn and me riding home in the back of the convertible!

The next day we were able to go see more sights and enjoy more of Nauvoo. We took an oxen ride...

We had to stop and take pictures at the temple before we left! We hadn't planned on spending the night so we were all wearing the same clothes!

All the girls...
Me and Aut had purple shirts and white skirts so we had to take a matching picture...I love this girl so much, she is one of my best friends and we miss her soo much!
Since we were having a heat wave while they were here, we had to be in water if we were outside at all. We spent a day at the lake where they have a sandy beach.

Beautiful girls Ty, Say and Tallon chillin on the beach

Its hard to find things to do in Kirksville so mostly we played games which was awesome. We probably had over 20 games of Settlers of Catan while they were here. One night we needed to get out of the house so we went bowling...

Autumn and Say, I promise she really does like her
Saylor and Alyssa
Alyssa did Saylor's hair all week and it always looked soo cute!

The Whole Fam
I had to get this cute pic of Say and Tallon, she loves her long lost uncle that she finally got to meet! He was so cute with her, he'll be the best dad ever!

The night before they left Delynn went to put Saylor to bed and she just kept standing up in her crib saying, "please, please!" Saylor is an amazing sleeper and always goes right down to bed so it was really strange. I went in there and laid her down and shut the door and she just wouldn't stop crying! She never cries when she goes to bed so I finally went back in to see what was wrong. When I went in to her room she was crying, "Grandma, Grandma!" It seriously just broke my heart. Saylor somehow knew they were leaving and she was so sad. I got her out of bed and we all just started crying. It was a super sad night knowing they would be gone in the morning. When I married Ty I had no idea just how cool of a family I was becoming a part of. We love them so much and its sad to be so far away but we are also so greatful to be here in Kirksville and know this is where we are supposed to be.

We love you guys, I'm glad you love us enough to drive that far to see us! We can't wait to see you at Christmas!
