Woah, so I'm finally back from my month long vacation and I'm super behind on updating my blog! Going back to February...Ty's mom came and stayed with us for 10 whole days!! It was so awesome and she came at such a perfect time. After such a long, dreary winter we needed a little excitement around here. Everyone kept asking, "what are you going to do?" There really isn't much to do in our small town, especially during the winter months but we kept super busy.
This was on our drive down to Kansas City to pick her up. Say was so excited to see Grandma she had her hands up in the air cheering!
Saylor got so much one on one time with Grandma and she loved every second. Snuggling, reading stories and playing...Say sure loves her Grandma.
Delynn came with so many fun ideas for projects we could do while she was here. She decided it was time to redecorate our bathroom and Saylor was extremely thrilled with the princess theme! (And so was I, Ariel is my favorite princess)
We even found cute Ariel fabric and she sewed me some new curtains!
We had to get a princess poster and Saylor loves to point to all of them and tell me their names every time we go in the bathroom.
Kind of wierd to put a picture of our toilet but I think it looks cute.
More new curtains!! Delynn let me pick any fabric I wanted when we drove to Columbia and went to Hobby Lobby and she sewed up a storm all day to make these. I LOVE them!
We made this super cute project too since Valentine's Day was approaching. I still haven't taken mine done because I love it so much.
Delynn also bought stuff at Hobby Lobby so we could scrapbook our own calendars. This is how February turned out...
Saylor loved her new Dora bike Grandma got her!
We also went bowling while she was here and Saylor loved pushing her ball down the little ramp.
Delynn spoiled us SO much while she was here. She took us to dinner, got us some new Wii games, she bought me cute maternity clothes, and Saylor of coarse got some cute new outfits and lots of fun toys. (And pretty much anything else she saw at the store and wanted!) Delynn is so thoughtful and generous. We also tried lots of fun, new recipes for dinner and dessert every night and she was constantly doing my dishes and laundry so I could take it easy. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful mother-in-law, WE LOVE HER SO MUCH!
