The huge blizzard was a week and a half ago so this post is a little late but I needed to document this crazy storm! We were really snowed in our house for a whole day. It was kind of exciting. Ty's school was cancelled for a day and a half and the elementary kids had school cancelled all week long.
We have the longest driveway ever and it took Ty 4 whole hours to shovel the whole thing.
We looked out to our back porch and saw this...it looks like a squirrel fell right off the roof and got buried!
I spent about 30 minutes trying to bundle Saylor and I up in warm clothes so we could play outside while Ty shoveled. We were outside a whole 10 minutes before Saylor started crying because she was cold:(
The excitement kind of wore off after being stuck in the house all week. I think everyone in Kirksville is going a little bit crazy because when it's this cold there really is no place to go. There are still HUGE piles of snow all over town. The good news is the temperatures are going to warm up! The forecast says it'll be 59 degrees next week and I am going to spend as much of that day outside as I possibly can!
