Happy Halloween!!!

I LOVE Halloween! I think getting into holidays makes life so fun. We have thrown a huge Halloween party every year we have lived here but I've hosted quite a few things lately and all my party throwing was getting a little too overwhelming and expensive.  We almost didn't have a party but I just love Halloween too much and we didn't want the tradition to completely die. We decided to cut our list in half this year and just have our really close friends over. I tried to cut out all the things that were too much money or too much work. I had people bring crock pots of soup, homemade bread bowls, salad, dessert and delicious homemade root beer.  Everything was SO good!

Saylor was a witch but never wanted to wear her witch hat so it was kind of hard to tell.

The Whole Fam! Ty was batman and I was a cat.

Thanks Collette for letting us borrow costumes!
The Warner's looked totally awesome! I'm pretty sure Chase would have won the costume contest again if we would have voted. (He was a werewolf!)

One of my most favorite games we always play is couples doughnut on a string! All you need is doughnuts, string and a stick!

Who doesn't love a chance to make out with your hubby with a doughnut in the mix? Haha it always turns out to be hilarious!
This year we let the kids do it too! (Obviously not the making out part...especially with Saylor's kissing history)

They had a hard time finishing those huge doughnuts!
I didn't get a picture but we also had a caramel apple bar with white chocolate, crushed oreos, butterfinger and cinnamon and sugar.  It was so YUM!

The girls

We love our friends!
Ty was so excited about decorating our house for the party that he looked up how to make this awesome spider on pinterest!
We didn't get around to carving our pumpkin until the night before Halloween.

Oaks was loving the "pumpkin guts!"
Me and the girls on Halloween day.  Saylor let me crimp her hair but she cried pretty much the entire time.  It was sure cute though.
Silly faces
Scary faces
Saylor made such a beautiful little witch!

Oaks was the cutest little bumblebee!

Halloween is always jam packed with fun activities.  We had the SAA trunk or treat, then we stopped at Walmart and got more candy than we've ever seen!  They were literally handing out the hugest handfuls to each kid.  We had to keep emptying the girls buckets into grocery sacks.  After that we went to our ward's trunk or treat, trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood and then we let the girls hand out candy at our house for a while.

Eating candy in the back of the trunk

We hung Ty's cool spider on the back of our trunk!

Oakley's fav is definitely the suckers!
Max was the cutest ever little monkey!

Checking out their candy at the end of the night
All day long Saylor kept saying, "BEST DAY EVER!!!"
We got SOOO much candy! This isn't even all of it...The sad thing is I'm not eating sugar right now! (which is actually a very good thing!)
