15 months

Little Miss Oakley is 15 months old! (She is actually almost 16 months by the time I am getting around to posting this but that's ok)  Can I just say that 1 is my absolute favorite age!  It is so cute to watch her learn to talk and try to do big girl things.  Oaks has started saying lots of words lately!  These are the words she can say:
Mama
Dada
Nana (banana)
Sister
Eye
Shoe
Fishy
Jesus
Peek-a-boo
Uh-oh
Buh-bye
Thank you
Please (sounds kind of like, beez!)
Bite (When she wants a bite of our food!)
Nuh-night
Ball
Baby
Wahoo
Hello
Num num (when she wants food)
String cheese
Max
Binky
Doggy
Mine (learned this one from Saylor)
Pancake
Book
Owie
Strawberry
Anna (for her friend Eliana)

Oakley LOVES Saylor so much and I think that is so cute.  The first thing she wants to do when she gets up in the morning is give Saylor a huge hug. She is old enough that her and Saylor can actually really play together.  Oakley can point to her nose, eyes, ears, hair, mouth, tummy and toes!  She can also ruff like a dog and growl like a dragon! She just started folding her arms when we pray.
Oaks is such a climber.  She climbs onto the kitchen table, pushes chairs up to the counter and climbs up on the kitchen counter, climbs on the toilet in the bathroom and onto the bathroom counter.  I can hardly leave her alone for a second!  She really has no fear in life.  A  few weeks ago at the park she climbed up to the top of the playground and jumped off!  That girl can give me some major anxiety sometimes!  After having Saylor we didn't think kids could come any crazier...until we had Oaks!
Oakley gives the best hugs in the whole entire world.  She is still a total mama's girl so I'm the lucky one who gets the most hugs.   She is also very good at giving kisses. Oakley still LOVES to eat! We are trying to teach her to say drink but instead she just starts gulping when she is thirsty! Her favorite things to play with are babies and strollers.  She will wrap up her babies in anything she can find and walk around the house rocking them. She loves to dance. It's my favorite to turn around in the car when we are driving with the radio on and see both my girls dancing in their car seats.
Oakley wants to be a big girl so bad!  She tries to sneak into nursery every week at church and she screams every day when we take Say to preschool and she can't stay.  Oaks is still way too hyper to sit and watch a show or even listen to more than 30 seconds of a book.  We just took her binky away so she only has it at night!  It was easier than we thought to take it away-Ty taught her how to throw it in her crib when she wakes up.  She is already quite professional at throwing tantrums.  If you take something away from her she throws her whole body back and kicks her feet and SCREAMS! Screaming is something she loves to do--whether she is happy or sad.  Oakley loves babies and is getting very good at being soft with them.  We sure love this girl!
