Cousins

We decided to get some pictures of all the cousins but we didn't realize how incredibly hard it would be to try to get five kids to be happy, smile and sit still all at the same time. I don't think we got any of all of them happy but there were still a lot of cute ones. Saylor and Tra were actually the most well behaved of everyone.
It's also difficult to get pictures of babies that can't even sit up yet. We were trying to prop Saylor up on something but she was already on her way down in this picture.

Tra, Jessi, Kao, Morgin and Saylor
This is the best one we could get of all five of them. Jessi was having some sad times that day.

It's so wonderful to have a photographer in the family! Stig did such a good job and the flowers at Timpanogos Temple were beautiful!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

Tyler's friend Taggart was in town this weekend and we went with him to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. South Jordan is the only city in the world to have two temples. What a blessing to live in a place with so many temples close by! This was actually my first time ever going to a temple open house and it was really cool to be able to walk through the whole thing.
I am so thankful for temples so our family can be together forever!!
Saylor's first trip to the temple!

Saylor the Fish

I put Saylor in Mommy and Me swimming lessons mostly just to give me something to do but I found out that Saylor loves the water! She is by far the youngest in her class but she is also always the happiest one! She never cries and really just smiles the whole time.

Saylor also loves going to Seven Peaks!

Ty was asking me what babies do in swimming lessons and I told him we mostly just sing songs. Here is a video of Saylor getting dunked under water. She looked just like a fish when she gets dunked, it's so cute. She opens her eyes, sticks her tongue out and squirms around like a fish.

Saylor is Talking!

Okay so she isn't really talking but she sure has found her voice! Just in the last few days she really loves to make noise.

4 months old!

Wow, it's crazy how fast time flies, Saylor is already 4 months old! We took her to the doctor and she is healthy as can be. She is now 12 lbs which puts her in the 17% for weight and 24.5 inches long which is in the 62% for length. This girl is long and skinny just like her daddy. We also found out that she dropped below the 1% for head size. A few people have told me that I am restricting her head growth with all those huge headbands I put on her but I'm pretty sure that's not it. Here are some things Saylor has been doing this month:
-She loves to put everything in her mouth, most of all she likes to try to stick her whole fist in her mouth which she can almost do!

-Saylor has found her feet! She is enertained for long periods of time just grabbing and playing with her feet. The poor girl has scratches all over her feet and ankles from grabbing them with her sharp fingernails.

-She is rolling like crazy! Almost every single time I lay Saylor down on her back she immediately rolls onto her tummy.

-Saylor is starting to laugh out loud when you kiss her tummy-cutest thing ever!

-She is very smiley :)

-She loves to be sung to.

-Saylor now hates her car seat which makes for some miserable times in the car when she is screaming her head off. As soon as I pick her up she immediately stops crying.

-She is starting to pull her knees up underneath her and put her butt up in the air...oh no crawling is probably not too far off.

-She can actually grab her toys and hold onto a ball now.

-She has started to wake up very early in the morning...say goodbye to sleeping in mom and dad.

This little girl has certainly changed our lives, it's almost hard to imagine what life was like with out her. Being a mom is definitely harder than I thought but it's also the greatest thing in the world. We love little Baby Say so much!!

So Stig (Ty's brother) got a call the other day from his friend in Spain who randomly saw this picture of Saylor on Stig's facebook and said she inspired her to draw this picture. She scanned it to her computer and emailed it to Stig, she is an amazing artist!

Stewart Falls

Last week Tyler and I decided to go hike Stewart Falls even though it was a little bit rainy. Once we started hiking we warmed up fast and the rain actually felt pretty good. It felt great to get outside and everything was so green, it was beautiful!

Our happy little family

Ty had Saylor in the front pack and then he zipped her up inside his coat so she wouldn't get wet.
It looks like Saylor had fun!

4th of July

Happy 4th! The 4th is one of my favorite holidays; fireworks, family and good food!
At Jen and Eric's party with Grandma, Daniella and Eliana.
Ty loves to have Saylor stand up on his hand, little cheerleader in training!
I thought Saylor's bow looked like a firework!

Ty's Birthday

Happy Birthday Ty! Ty turned 27 on Friday and it was a day packed with fun. We went up to Sports Haven with Ty's family and golfed, swam, played tennis, ate and just had fun hanging out.

In the evening we went to Brick Oven with Matt, Sarah and Scott for an extra delicious dinner!

They sang to Ty in quiet voices since Saylor was asleep.
I'm so thankful for Ty in my life, you are the best husband ever honey, I love you!

Boating

Boating really is my most favorant thing ever so luckily Saylor likes it too! We went up to Utah Lake with April, Dan, Stig, Matt and Sarah. Saylor is a pretty adaptable baby, we do everything with her!Ty taking a spill on the wakeboard, pretty sure he was posing for this picture.
