Happy 4 Years!

I can't believe we are already celebrating our fourth anniversary, time has flown by! I remember when we were engaged Sarah used to tell me we were the most in love people she has ever seen and that love has only gotten stronger over the last four years. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world on our wedding day and I feel like that even more today. Ty is the best husband ever, he has always treated me like a princess even when I don't deserve it at all. I don't know how I ever got so lucky to get him but I love him more than anything. With the recent addition to our family my love for him has grown even more to see what a cute dad he is to Saylor. Now that I am back at work full time he has taken the duty of Mr. Mom and is better at it than I am. I am so grateful to have such a righteous, giving, good looking, athletic, funny, adventurous, loving, fun, sweet, unselfish, hard-working, amazing husband.

Welcome Baby Morgin!

Morgin Ka was born April 18, 2009
6lbs 2oz. 18 inches
Saylor and Morgin are only six weeks apart but Saylor looks like a giant next to Morgin! Saylor is so excited to have a cousin so close in age, I'm sure they'll grow up to be best friends!

The End of Organic Chemistry!!

I've never been so happy to have a class over with in my life and I wasn't even taking this class! Ty has been at the library studying for o chem until midnight most nights this semester leaving me feeling like a single parent sometimes.
Ty has been gone studying so much for o chem this semester that most of his time with Saylor is spent like this.
We decided to celebrate the end of O Chem by taking Saylor on her first picnic up the canyon. Hopefully there are many more picnics to come now that Ty has a little bit more time.

A glimpse into the future

This week I had the chance to babysit my cousins while their parents went to San Fransisco for four days. I thought watching Saylor was hard but this week I also had an 8, 6, 5, and 2 year old. It didn't help that Ty was at the library studying for finals until midnight every night. It was quite the experience and it made me think of what my life will be like in about ten years when I have five kids of my own. I am now quite talented, I discovered I can nurse Saylor while I make dinner, feed the kids and put them to bed. It was a lot of work but it was also really fun. The kids were so cute with Saylor, they wanted to hold her all the time and when she would cry they would start singing I Am a Child of God to her.

One day the girls decided they wanted to have baby school for Saylor. They sat her up in this little chair and wanted to teach her how to talk.
The teachers of baby school: Eliana, Daniella and Isabelle

All that baby school really wore Saylor out!

Color Me Mine

Okay so I know I've done like ten posts today but Saylor has a busy life and it needs to be documented! After we went to the zoo we went on a date with Matt and Sass and Bradley B. and his fiance to Color Me Mine. Saylor was good for a little while but then I think her busy day caught up with her because she screamed for quite a while. I was getting dirty looks from people so I had to take her outside for a little bit to calm her down. Luckily her Dad is really good at that. Other than the screaming, we had so much fun painting! Ty especially liked it, he thinks we should go and make things every weekend. It is such a fun date!

Matt was actually trying to take a picture and accidentally took a video but this is us trying to dip Saylor's foot in paint so we could put her footprint on our works of art.

First Trip to the Zoo

On Saturday we went with Tyler's family to the Hogle Zoo. Everything is so much more fun when you have kids. Saylor got to learn about all the different animals even though she was asleep for most of the day. (Even though I kept telling her she was missing out on everything!)
Saylor finally woke up for a few minutes before we went on the train.

Saturday is our favorite day because we get to spend time with Daddy!

Saylor's Friends

Tra and Kao were on Spring Break last week so they invited me and Saylor to go see Hannah Montana at the movies. Saylor was very well behaved and slept through the whole movie. The boys were so cute because they were fighting over who got to sit by Saylor in the car. Saylor loves her cousins!
Saylor also got to meet Jules and Nate last week when they stopped by on their way to Florida for their honeymoon.

Saylor also loves her friends Matt and Sass. We played a fun game of stackers that night.

Saylor is Rolling!

The doctor told us to start giving Saylor some tummy time so every time Ty calls he asks if I have given her tummy time that day. I guess all that tummy time has paid off because Saylor is rolling! Saylor actually first rolled in Boise but we helped a little by tucking her arm under. I called to tell Ty and he didn't believe me at first. As soon as we were back in Utah Saylor was rolling all on her own. Ty wanted to see it so bad he promised her a new outfit if she'd roll over for Daddy and we all know how much Saylor loves new clothes! (Well maybe it's mostly her Mom). It took a little while to catch it on camera but Saylor's first time rolling by herself she was at 5 weeks old.

Easter

We spent Easter in Boise this year with my family because Ty had to come up for the weekend to pick up his girls. I was going to stay two weeks but Ty missed us too much and thought Saylor was going to forget about him. I talked Ty into taking Saylor to church for her first time so she could wear her adorable Easter dress (Ty's a little on the protective side).
Beau and Zach had just finished school in Rexburg so the whole family was home for Easter.Saylor and Mommy

Saylor loves her Aunt Kirstie!!

She also loves her Uncle Beau!

So happy to be together as a family again!!

I loved Saylor's Easter dress so much, I couldn't stop taking pictures of her.

One Month (A little late)

So for some reason I thought staying home all day with a baby would leave me all this time to blog. Little did I know that these days just taking a shower is a major accomplishment of the day. This mom stuff is hard work! So I have a lot to catch up on, starting with Saylor's being one month old. I was lucky enough to get to spend a week up in Boise since I was going a little crazy staying home all the time and not being able to take Saylor out with all the snow we were getting here in Utah. Plus Ty was never home so I was getting lonely. It was so nice to have so much help with Saylor, it is never hard to find someone willing to hold her at my house.

Here's Saylor at one month old! This is one of my most favorite outfits she has. (Thanks Courtney!) Saylor looks so old in her little jeans. It is so fun because she is awake a lot more and is so alert.

We went to Cold Stone to celebrate Saylor's one month birthday. Can't you tell how much she liked it?
